Day 1

Arusha

The safari begins with pickup from Airport by our professional Driver guide to hotel/Arusha City tour depending on arrival time. Arusha is at base of iconic Mt.Meru and on a clear day distance views of Africa’s tallest Mountain, Kilimanjaro can be seen. The city is rich of history evidently from old architectural styles, diverse structures from churches, mosques and culture mix. Modern Arusha town has international malls and cafes, Maasai Market, museums and historic sites within the city allowing you to explore various destinations. The Clock Tower, in the Centre of town, was known as the middle-point between Cape Town and Cairo, however this is not correct.


Day 2

Arusha – Lake Eyasi

After early breakfast and checkout, depart to Southwestern corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Eyasi. Your first stop over will be at Tanzanite Tour, learn how this rare blue gem are mined and you can buy one or two as souvenirs. Check in and lunch at the lodge/camp. Between this Great Rift Valley Eyasi escarpment and Kidero Mountains, trips are exceptional which you will explore in the afternoon. This is home to Tribal Hadzabe Bushmen and Datoga pastoralist. A visit to the village to learn why they are shunning away from modesty, living a hunting and gathering and pastoralist life, joining their traditional dances is a life-changing cultural experience. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 3

Lake Eyasi – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After early breakfast and checkout, depart to South-east of Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro crater. You will enter through the vast 8000 sq. kilometers Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Check in and lunch at the lodge/camp. Afternoon experience Tribal Maasai culture by visiting their villages to learn why the Maa people are shunning away from modesty, join their unique traditional dances as you snap thousands of fascinating life-changing cultural experiences then proceed for unmatched safari game viewing in spectacular nearly perfect blue-green caldera, home to the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa. This is the best place to see all the “Big Five” in a single day. It hosts highest density of predators in Africa and over 25,000 large mammals from Black Rhinos, large tusked Elephants, Buffalos, Warthogs, Zebras, Wildebeest, Jackals, Antelopes, Gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopard among others.


Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

This day is for venturing in the 260 sq. kilometers, 610m deep floor with a morning game drive or afternoon game drive or optional full day game drive with picnic lunch organized with liaison with your professional driver guide. Lerai Forest is home to Baboons and Vervet monkeys while Ngoitoktok Springs is home to hundreds of hippos and scenic picnic spot. Lake Magadi and the lush vegetation is home to over 500 species of birds from pink flamingoes, kori bustard, secretary birds, vultures, eagles, lapwings to migratory birds residing here from November to April. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.


Day 5

Ngorongoro – Serengeti National park

After early breakfast and checkout, depart to home of the great migration, Serengeti NP, ready with your picnic lunch. You will pass through dotted Masai Villages in the conservation area. An optional stop to Oldupai Gorge, where Prehistoric hominids emerged, traces of Homo Habilis, our first known human species, reaching back 3.7 million years was found here can be organized with liaison with your drive guide. You will stop over at Ngorongoro/Serengeti border for lunch before proceeding on an en route game to the lodge/camp. Pride of lions at the Kopjes will be waiting to usher you into the plains, lakes, swamps and woodland of vast Serengeti ecosystem, accommodating large to small mammals, herds of elephants to terrestrial and migratory birds. After memorable sunset spots in the vast plains head to lodge/camp; Check in, dinner and overnight.


Day 6

Serengeti National Park

This day is for venturing in the vast Savannah where the World’s eight wonder-THE GREAT WILDERBEESTS MIGRATION starts. In the green season of Southern Serengeti in Ndutu and Kusini region from January to peak February and March, the wildebeest actively breed in preparation for their long journey to SW Kenya calving over 500, 000 calves. During this period, predators wait at the kopjes, actively preying on the vulnerable younger ones giving scenic preying actions. In April the herds accompanied by zebras and gazelles start moving Northwards towards Seronera/Central Serengeti region, by May to Grumeti River from western corridor and to Mara River northern region. In June the Great Migration across over 2000 crocodile invaded Grumeti River is a scenic event. From July to October the gnus cross Mara River to Masai Mara, Kenya, day and night following green pastures and water. During this dry season wildlife spotting in the vast Serengeti NP is very easy. The many hungry predators hunt relentlessly on the few remaining resident herbivores. From November the herds start making their round trip towards Southern Serengeti through Loliondo Game Controlled Area past Seronera region to Ndutu. Depending on your travelling season you will never miss a fantastic game view in this vast ecosystem. For birders, over 500 species have been recorded in the park with Palearctic migratory residing from October to April. Few Tanzanian endemic species, such as Fischer’s lovebird, greybreasted Spurfowl and rufous-tailed Weaver occur here. Nearly threatened Mara-Serengeti ecosystem endemic usambiro barbet can be spotted in the wooded grassland.


Day 7

Serengeti National Park

On this day, for guests who want birds eye view of the eco-system, sunrise in the sky and dine in the wild for rich bush breakfast, we recommend, hot air balloon (Optional) with liaison with your drive guide. Continue on unmatched game viewing, searching for predator kills, prides of lions on the Kopjes and beautiful birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.


Day 8

Serengeti- Tarangire

After early breakfast and checkout, depart to quiet and little known, Tarangire National Park, ready with your picnic lunch. As you enter the park large baobab trees, open plains, acacia woodland, swamps, and termite skyscrapers are evident; famously known for migration of large herds of up to 300 elephants between the dry seasons July to October to river bed of Tarangire River. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 9

Tarangire National Park

This day is for venturing into the vast grassland. The park is home to endangered fringe-eared oryx, greater kudu, and tiny Ashy Starling. Rare white-tailed African wild dogs occur in the Southeast plains. Pythons here enjoy tree climbing as they patiently wait to hunt and relax too. For birdwatchers, Tarangire NP is the place to be with amazingly over 550 species from starlings, hornbills, Kori Bustard, bee-eaters, vultures, eagles, go away birds, helmeted guinea fowl, and lovebirds among others. Hundreds of Zebras, warthogs, giraffes, gazelles, antelopes and buffalos make the cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas and jackals thrive in the eco-system. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 10

Tarangire-Arusha (Departure)

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your plane back home/next journey. Lunch at Arusha City. You will be leaving with memories of treasure hunts to visits of tribal Hadzabe and Datoga Villages, the world’s top game viewing of Big Cats, Big five and home of Great Wildebeest Migration in the vast Serengeti plains, amazing world's largest fully intact caldera, the extinct Eden of Ngorongoro Crater and not missing amazing views of large herds of migrating Elephants of Tarangire NP.
