Day 1

Nairobi – Lake Bogoria

The safari begins with an early morning pickup at your hotel/Airport by our professional Driver guide. Depart for Lake Bogoria, home to 2 million lesser and greater flamingoes. En route, you will be able to view the scenic Great Rift Valley, Equator crossing line and get an opportunity to take some quick snaps before proceeding to the 34km long and 3.5km wide Great Rift Valley Soda Lake where you will check-in at hotel/camp. After check-in, get ready for lunch and which you will have a short sauna. In the evening, you will be taken for evening game drive introduced to the pink carpet, Siracho Escarpments, hot springs and geysers spurring boiling water enshrouding the area with mystical steam that is believed to cure skin diseases. Spotted Hyena, Caracal, Greater Kudu, Warthog, Klipspringers and Dikdik occur here as well. The Kesubo Swamp, North of the lake is birders paradise, holding Kenya’s record for the largest number of bird species recorded in an hour, (96 species). The reserve remarkably hosts over 350 bird species. After which you will return to the hotel for a swimming at the hotel’s pool, dinner and overnight at Lake Bogoria Spa Hotel or lodge of choice


Day 2

Lake Bogoria – Lake Nakuru National Park

Take breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Depart for Lake Nakuru NP surrounding one of Great Rift Valley Soda Lake; Lake Nakuru. The lake’s abundance of algae attracts thousands of pink flamingoes, flocks of pelicans dot the lake too. 75% of the area was declared bird sanctuary site being home to over 450 bird species; kingfishers, grey crowned crane, Maasai ostrich, Cuckoos, Hoopoe, Swifts and raptors. The savannah and Rift escarpment are home to endangered Rothschild giraffes, several black and white Rhinos among other wildlife except Elephants. On a lucky day Pythons can be spotted. Black and white colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys and olive baboons enjoy the rich forest beauty. Hundreds of Zebras, warthogs, giraffes, gazelles, antelopes, wildebeest and buffalos make the cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas and jackals thrive in the eco-system. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the lodge/Hotel.


Day 3

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast depart for a drive to the Masai Mara, Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves for predators. During the drive you will see Kenya’s second highest mountain, Mt. Longonot which is a dormant volcano, Suswa hills and pass through Narok town, the home of the tribal Masai people arriving in time for lunch at Lodge. Afternoon experience Tribal Maasai culture by visiting their villages to learn why the Maa people are shunning away from modesty, join their unique traditional dances as you snap thousands of fascinating life-changing cultural experiences then proceed for unmatched safari game viewing in spectacular savanna scenery, and diverse flora and fauna, returning back to the lodge before dark. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.


Day 4

Masai Mara

This day is for venturing in the vast Savannah where the World’s eight wonder-THE GREAT WILDERBEESTS MIGRATION occur with a morning game drive or afternoon game drive or optional full day game drive with picnic lunch organized with liaison with your professional driver guide.1.5 million of wildebeests, thousands of zebras and gazelles traverse the plains of Serengeti NP to dense grassland of Masai Mara crossing the crocodile invaded river-the Mara River in a matter of life and death, is a spectacular wildlife viewing event. The gnus move in search of water and fresh pastures, migration happening between July to November before embarking for their round 500km journey towards Ndutu Plains. Despite the outstanding migration, Masai Mara National Reserve offers all year-round game viewing, with the BBC Documentary “BIG CATS” being filmed here. It hosts over 90 species of mammals from the “BIG FIVE “to smaller nocturnal animals and over 550 bird species from raptors to terrestrials. On this day, for guests who want birds eye view of the eco-system, sunrise in the sky and dine in the wild for rich bush breakfast, we recommend, hot air balloon (Optional) with liaison with your drive guide. Enjoy sunset and later return to the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.


Day 5

Masai Mara-Lake Naivasha

Breakfast and checkout from lodge/camp and depart for Lake Naivasha, the highest of the Great Rift Valley lakes resting at 1884m above sea level. En route, you will be able to view the scenic Great Rift Valley, get an opportunity to take some quick snaps before proceeding. Check in and lunch at the hotel. In the evening, proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat tour, spot the freshwater shores fringed with papyrus swamps, yellow acacias and past volcanic remnants together with hippos lingering just on the shallows and over 400 species of melodious singing birds i.e. Cormorants, pelicans, Darter, Storks, Kingfishers, Herons, Snipes, Sandpiper, Jacanas, Bishops, Weavers, Fiscals, Warblers, hawks and migratory birds with fishing fish eagle being iconic. The lake attracts game animals i.e. Buffalos, giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks and wildebeest; and white and black colobus are seen jumping from tree to tree. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 6

Lake Naivasha-Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast and checkout from hotel and depart for dry Northern Kenya Reserve, Samburu NR. The drive takes us past traditional villages dotted across the countryside. Arrive in time for lunch at lodge/camp followed by afternoon game drive which introduces you to the famous “Samburu Special Seven” Somali ostrich, Vulturine Guineafowl, Desert Warthog, Grevy’s Zebra, Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe and Beisa Oryx. ‘Kamunyak’, the miracle lioness that adopted the baby oryx was as a resident in the reserve. Africa Wild dog and critically endangered pancake tortoise sightings are also an attraction in the reserve. Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded species from the riverine forests and northern bush country. Lesser Kestrel and the Taita Falcon global conservation concern species as well Vultures, Eagles, Eagle-owls, Sunbirds, Bee-eaters, Flycatchers, Cisticolas, Woodpeckers and Hornbills occur here. Five vulnerable bird species; Yellow-billed Ox-pecker, African Darter, Great Egret, Whiteheaded Vulture and Martial Eagle occur here too. The reserve is also home to elephants, warthogs, hippos, olive baboons, antelopes and gazelles and predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and crocodiles.


Day 7

Samburu- Nairobi

After breakfast depart for the drive to Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley escarpments arriving early in the afternoon for lunch. After lunch you will have an opportunity to either visit Karen Blixen Museum, house to Karen where the famous International Oscar winning film ‘Out of Africa’ based on Karen’s autobiography was shot. Alternatively, you can visit Giraffe Centre, home to endangered Rothschild Giraffe and world-famous Nature Education Centre where you will feed the Giraffe at close range and snap fascinating snaps with them. You will also have time to grab Kenya’s beautiful souvenirs. Dinner will be organized at Kenya’s delicacy restaurant, famous Nyama Choma, dine as a carnivore on various meat from crocodile, goat to ostrich meat. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 8

Nairobi-Amboseli National Park

After breakfast depart to Amboseli NP, home to giant free-range elephants. The drive takes us past traditional Maasai villages dotted across the countryside. Arrive in time for lunch at lodge/camp followed by afternoon game drive which introduces you to open plains, acacia woodland and swamps of Amboseli NP, with the iconic Africa highest Mountain, Kilimanjaro Mountain towering in the distance and on a clear day you will be able to see the melting snow. The endless water springs flowing from Mt. Kilimanjaro to the heart of the park attracts giant elephants carrying massive tusks ranging to herds of 100. Lions here enjoy relaxing on trees after a successful hunt. Hundreds of Zebras, warthogs, giraffes, gazelles, antelopes and buffalos make the cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas and jackals thrive in the eco-system. For birdwatchers, Amboseli is the place to be from its rich waterfowl’s spoonbills, ducks and geese to scavengers and migratory birds with amazingly over 400 species recorded. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 9

Amboseli-Tsavo National Park

Being the last day in Amboseli National Park, you will go for an early morning game drive and get sight of predators’ morning hunt, sunrise and return to the lodge for breakfast. Check out and depart for Kenya’s biggest national park, Tsavo National Park. Arrive for late afternoon lunch before venturing in the mountainous and wetter Tsavo West NP plains. At Mzima Springs- four natural springs from Chyulu Hills hippos and crocodile lingers just on the shallows. Birdlife in Chaimu volcanic crater which can be explored by foot is rich from threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Large animals i.e. black rhino, elephants, cape buffalo, Maasai lion, leopard, cheetah, Maasai giraffe and smaller animals i.e. hyena, jackals, antelopes, zebras, nocturnal bush baby can be spotted. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 10

Tsavo National Park

After breakfast, check out with picnic lunch and embark on a game viewing towards flat and dry plains of Tsavo East NP. Yatta Plateau, world’s longest lava flow and Lugard falls flowing along Galana River are exceptional. Africa’s largest herds of red-dust elephants wander around the vast plains dust bathing along Galana River. Game viewing is abundant from big and small, common and unique flora and fauna. Dinner and Overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 11

Tsavo – Mombasa

Checkout from your lodge after breakfast and transfer to the beautiful Mombasa Island to unwind and relax. The island is rich of history evidently from old Arabic architectural styles, diverse structures from churches, temples, mosques and culture mix. Modern Mombasa Town is a cosmopolitan Port overlooking a wide harbor, where commercial shipping and traditional sailing dhows alight. Set at the entrance of the old town harbor is historical Fort Jesus Museum.


Day 12

Mombasa Island

Full day to yourself, you can engage in optional beach activities with liaison with your professional driver guide. The true heart of Mombasa is found in old town, as our guide takes you through the streets filled with aromatic Arabic spices, you will come along open-air market abundant with hand-woven textiles and artworks where you can pick your beautiful souvenirs. A trip to Mombasa Marine National Park and Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park to enjoy aquatic wilderness and activities such as snorkeling, diving and even fishing is a spectacular experience. Approximately 30km away is Shimba Hills National Reserve characterized by mountains, waterfall and forest with lush tropical vegetation. The unique vegetation is home to elephants, antelopes and perfect spot for bird watchers’ enthusiasts. Haller Park (Bamburi Nature Trail), Small zoo that feels like a park. Animals include giraffes, hippos’ monkeys, and a reptile house. Mtwapa Creek is a place to visit on Mombasa's North Coast. Very famous for bird watching, mountain bike tours around the creek, and starting point for deep sea fishing trips. A visit to unspoilt Funzi Island via Dhow (traditional Arab sailing ship), to explore Ramisi River Mangroves by canoe full of bird life up close, bathing on the magical sandbank in the Indian Ocean.Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.


Day 13

Diani – Nairobi (Departure)

Transfer to Nairobi to catch your plane back home. Leaving with memories of treasure hunts to dry Northern Samburu Special Seven, through the Great Rift Valley to bird’s paradise of Lake Naivasha, crossing the equator to the Pink Carpet of Lake Bogoria, Rhino and Bird Sanctuary of Lake Nakuru, a visit to tribal Masai Village and the world’s top game viewing of Big Cats, Big five and maybe a lucky view of the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Masai Mara, amazing views of giant Elephants and melting Mt.Kilimanjaro ice of Amboseli NP, huge geographical contrasts of dry savanna plains, wet shrub-land, and wooded grassland to volcanic hills of Tsavo NP and to a relaxing beach vacation.
